Do you proofread more than 2000 words?

Yes, please send your document along with a time frame for completion. I will then provide a customized order.

What file type should I send?

I require an editable text document. Word docs are best – .doc or .docx. You can also send .rtf and.txt. I cannot accept .odt, .pdf or Pages. Please convert to another format. You can also use Google Sharing Docs.

Do you proofread manually?

Indeed. Using software for all aspects of proofreading is not always a viable option. Meanings and intended expressions can be lost to a grammatic error or two. I will manually read and make corrections. You will have the chance to edit once I send the edited document for your review.

Is this service confidential?

Yes, 100%. I download your document, edit / proofread it, return it to you and then delete it from my computer. I never share it with anyone else. If you have a non-disclosure agreement, I’d be happy to sign it.

Do you outsource work to other proofreaders?

No, I work alone. By doing so, I can provide my signature brand of service that will be unique to me. I believe in providing excellent customer service, high standards, and complete accuracy in whatever project I undertake. If you are another seller, please do not waste your time or mine as I have no interest in that collaborating on any project.

Do you proofread websites?

Absolutely! However, I cannot directly edit your website per se. You will need to send the text in a Word document and I will proofread it. I will then provide you with a customized order. You can edit the document once and then re-submit for any other changes after I have submitted the first edited document.

How do I know what changes have been made to my document?

I will deliver an edited document with a color code where possible. The other will be the final edited document with all changes accepted. You can compare the edits /changes with your original document. Where there are any queries, I will alert you in a comment.

What is the difference between copy-editing and proofreading?

Copy-editing ensures that your text is consistent and accurate in terms of your style and tone. Just making sure that everything has a flow to the main theme. It also improves spelling and grammatical errors.
