7 Ways To Create More Time In Your Busy Schedule
Need to create more time? Do you feel like you’re constantly running out of time? That there’s not enough time to do everything you want to do, and something has to give? Many people feel like this; no matter what they do, they just can’t seem to get a handle on their schedules and get absolutely everything done.
Here, in this contributed article, we’re going to take a look at how you can create more time in your busy schedule so you can get more of the important things done. Take a look:
1.Get Up Earlier
Be honest with yourself; is there any way you can get up earlier than you currently are doing? Many people find that they are most productive early in the morning, as most people are still in bed and it creates the perfect environment for getting things done. You might be able to work out, meditate, eat a healthy breakfast, and read a few chapters of a book all before you start work if you get up early enough!
Many people who are working on self mastery get up at around 5am. That might sound silly, but providing you’re going to bed early enough and you really want to have a productive day, you can make it work.
2.Outsource Services
Chances are, you don’t need to do everything that you’re currently doing. You could potentially outsource some of the tasks you have to take care of to another company or a freelancer. For example, many business owners find it better to outsource to a managed IT service, rather than attempting to take care of the IT themselves. You can see more information here to get an idea of what this would entail. Even outsourcing the cleaning and simple admin tasks could help you to free up a lot of time.
3.Prioritize
What’s truly important for the day? If you fail to prioritize your tasks, you’ll likely procrastinate with smaller tasks that aren’t as important, and feel like you barely get anything done. By prioritizing your top 2 or 3 tasks for the day, you can get them done as early as possible. Anything you do after that will be a bonus.
4.Do What You Can In Advance
Rather than cooking meals from scratch every day, can you food prep? Can you set up an organizing system that helps you to keep everything in order? Doing these things in advance will free up time during the week and help you to stay on track.
5.Cut Out The Need For Meetings
Cut out the need for meetings by using effective collaboration software to ensure everybody is on the same page. You can also hold Skype meetings instead, which are much faster and better for the environment.
6.Clock Yourself As You Work
By timing yourself as you work, you’ll be less likely to slack off. You can do this with a simple timer or use an app.
7.Work On Staying In The Moment, Whatever You’re Doing
Whether you’re waiting in line, driving, or writing an email, stay in the moment. Thinking too much will slow you down and give you anxiety. You’ll feel like you have so much more time when you stay in the moment. Yes, you can create more time by using your this precious commodity more efficiently starting with the ‘little things’ that go unnoticed. Much success.
