A crucial element of career success when starting from scratch is to understand your strengths and weaknesses. By taking the time to understand where your strengths are and what weaknesses you have, you can better equip yourself for career success.
You could also take the time to look at your personality using a Myers Briggs Type Indicator to better understand your personality and how it impacts your career success.
Hold Yourself To High Standards
When it comes to how you work, always make sure that you hold yourself to high standards, even when you’re in the process of looking for work. Ensure that your resume and cover letter are both perfectly written and presented and are 100% error free.
If you don’t feel confident proofreading your resume yourself, consider asking a friend or relative to do it for you. It’s important never to rush tasks and ensure that whatever you are doing, you always hold yourself accountable.
