Infolinks Review: My Experience, Payments and Ad Trade-Offs
If you have a website, you may eventually start wondering whether advertising could provide another source of income alongside affiliate links, products or services.
That was what brought me to Infolinks when I originally wrote this review in 2017. I applied, received approval and added its advertising code to my website. My initial earnings were only a few cents, but seeing those first earnings was encouraging.
Looking back, though, earning something and choosing a worthwhile monetization strategy are two different things. Ads need to justify the space, attention and technical resources they use.
This updated Infolinks review explains how the publisher service works, what to check before joining and why I would approach it as a measured experiment.
Review context: My firsthand observations below come from my original 2017 experience. The product and payment information has been checked against Infolinks’ published information for this October 2026 update. I have not conducted a new earnings or performance test.

What Is Infolinks?
Infolinks connects advertisers with website publishers. Publishers make advertising placements available on their sites, while advertisers pay to reach audiences.
This review focuses on the publisher side. You submit your website for review and, if approved, integrate the advertising code supplied by Infolinks. Your account provides access to reporting and the available advertising settings.
There is no publisher subscription to purchase simply to apply. However, free signup does not mean guaranteed acceptance, guaranteed earnings or immediate payment.

Infolinks Does Not Give Publishers Free Traffic
My original article suggested that Infolinks could provide free traffic as well as earnings. That description needed correcting.
Installing publisher ads monetizes visitors who are already reaching your website. It does not replace the work of creating useful content, attracting readers or building an audience.
Infolinks also serves advertisers, but buying advertising to promote a business is a separate activity from displaying ads as a publisher.
If your website has very few visitors, adding an ad script is unlikely to transform its income. Your first priority may still be improving the website and giving people a reason to visit and return.
My Original Experience With Infolinks
When I first tried Infolinks, I wanted to explore another way to monetize my website. I signed up, was approved and installed the script supplied for my site.
At the time of my original review, I had earned only a few cents. I was pleased to see a beginning, even a small one.
That experience supports a limited conclusion: I was able to get started and see initial earnings recorded. It does not establish a reliable monthly income, a typical earnings rate or a long-term result.
I also did not document a completed payout in the original article. Earnings appearing in an account should not be confused with money already received.
Today, I would pay more attention to the balance between revenue and reader experience before deciding whether to keep the ads running.
Publisher Requirements and Approval
Infolinks’ published eligibility guidance states that there are no minimum pageview or visitor requirements and no setup fees. It also explains that websites are reviewed and that applications can be declined.
That makes applying accessible to smaller publishers, but acceptance is still a separate decision.
Before applying, make sure your website contains useful, original content, works properly and meets the current publisher policies. Read the agreement rather than relying on an old review or assuming that a free application guarantees approval.
I would not promise a fixed approval time. Follow the instructions and status information supplied during your application.
What Ad Formats Does Infolinks Offer?
Infolinks’ current product pages describe several formats. These include InText placements within content, InArticle units, InFrame placements alongside content on wider screens, and InFold, InTop and InScreen formats. Its product page also describes a rotating InCube unit.
The formats available to your website, their behavior and the settings you can control should be confirmed in your publisher account.
What matters most is how those ads behave on your actual pages. A format that looks acceptable on a desktop demonstration may feel distracting on a phone.
Preview your setup and ask:
- Can readers comfortably reach and read the main content?
- Is it clear which elements are advertisements?
- Do any ads obscure navigation, buttons or important information?
- Are the ads appropriate for the audience and purpose of the page?
- Does the mobile version remain easy to use?
Review the current Infolinks ad products before deciding which formats to test.
How Much Can You Earn With Infolinks?
There is no dependable income figure I can give you from my original trial. A few cents on my website in 2017 would not be a useful prediction for your website today.
Advertising results can vary with audience location, subject matter, traffic volume, advertiser demand, device mix and the placements being used.
For a practical evaluation, track earnings over a meaningful period and compare them with your traffic. Also check whether advertising affects other valuable actions, such as newsletter signups, affiliate clicks, inquiries or purchases.
A small increase in ad income may not be worthwhile if it distracts readers from the main purpose of your website.
Infolinks Payment Thresholds and Timing
Recorded earnings are not paid out immediately. Your balance must reach the applicable payment threshold, and your payment details must be complete.
At the time of this update, Infolinks’ main payment-threshold support page lists:
- PayPal, eCheck and ACH: A minimum threshold of $50.
- Bank wire: A minimum threshold of $100, with a $1,000 threshold for selected countries.
The support page says qualifying payments are processed and sent within 45 days of the end of the month. Balances below the threshold carry forward.
Confirm the exact terms for your account. Infolinks’ published support and agreement wording is not entirely consistent about payment timing, and payment methods, country restrictions and provider fees can differ. Ask support to clarify anything that affects your expected payout.
Check the official payment-threshold guidance and the terms presented in your account before relying on a payment date.
For a small website, reaching the threshold may take time. That is another reason to distinguish initial recorded earnings from a useful source of regular income.
What I Like About Infolinks
Free Publisher Application
You can apply without buying a publisher subscription. That makes it easier to investigate the service before committing to a particular advertising setup.
Accessible Published Traffic Requirements
The published guidance does not impose a minimum visitor or pageview count. Smaller websites can therefore apply, although approval and worthwhile earnings remain separate questions.
A Choice of Advertising Formats
The range of placements gives publishers options to evaluate. The useful choice is the one that fits your content and audience, rather than the one that simply displays the most ads.
I Was Able to Get Started
In my original experience, I received approval, installed the code and saw initial earnings. That gave me a straightforward introduction to publisher advertising.
The Drawbacks I Would Consider
Low Traffic Can Mean Very Small Earnings
My original results were modest. I would not encourage a new blogger to treat advertising as a substitute for developing useful content and a returning audience.
Ads Can Interrupt Reading
In-text advertising, expanding units and interstitial placements deserve careful testing. Reader attention is valuable, particularly when your website depends on trust and clear recommendations.
Additional Code Can Affect Performance
Advertising adds requests and processing to a page. The effect depends on the implementation, so compare your website before and after installation instead of assuming there will be no difference.
If large images are already slowing your pages, address those too. My Reviews archive includes other website tools to consider, including ShortPixel.
Payment Thresholds Can Delay Receiving Money
A balance can grow slowly without reaching the payout threshold. Consider payment conditions and possible provider fees when deciding whether the income is worthwhile.
Can You Use Infolinks Alongside Other Advertising?
Do not assume that adding another network is automatically permitted under every existing advertising agreement.
Check the current rules of each provider, including any exclusivity requirements and restrictions on placements. If you use AdSense, review Google’s current policies as well as your Infolinks setup.
Even where the combination is permitted, assess the whole page. Several individually acceptable ad placements can still create a crowded experience together.
Does Infolinks Still Have a Referral Program?
Infolinks’ official referral page continues to advertise earning 10% of referred publishers’ revenue for 12 months, subject to its program terms.
Referral income is separate from the earnings generated by ads on your own website. Qualifying referrals and tracking requirements matter, so check the current terms and obtain your link from your account.
I have removed the referral URL from my original article because I have not verified its current status. The links in this updated review lead directly to official information.

How I Would Test Infolinks Today
- Record a starting point. Note your traffic, page performance and important conversions before adding ads.
- Check the terms. Confirm approval requirements, payment settings and compatibility with your existing advertising arrangements.
- Follow the supplied integration instructions. Avoid installing the same advertising code through multiple methods.
- Start with a restrained setup. Choose available formats that allow readers to use the page comfortably.
- Test desktop and mobile. Check navigation, content visibility and loading behavior.
- Review the results. Compare earnings with performance, reader feedback and the website’s other goals.
Also check how the advertising fits your privacy disclosures and consent settings. Installing a script is only one part of maintaining a website that uses third-party advertising.
If the ads earn very little while making the site harder to use, I would change the setup or remove them.
Support and Getting Started
Infolinks provides a support center with account, integration and payment information, along with a contact form for questions.
Basic integration may be straightforward, but it is still worth reading the instructions. If you are unsure how to install or control the code in WordPress, get help before adding it in several places.
Visit the Infolinks support center.
My Final Verdict on Infolinks
Infolinks remains an advertising option to investigate, but my original experience does not support a promise of substantial earnings.
I was approved, installed the code and initially earned a few cents. That is worth preserving as an honest account of getting started.
My recommendation today is to test cautiously and judge the full result. Consider the revenue, payout conditions, page performance and effect on readers together.
For an established content website with suitable traffic, a measured trial may be useful. For a new website with very few visitors, I would focus first on building useful content and an audience.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Infolinks free for publishers?
Publisher signup is free, and the published eligibility guidance states that there are no setup fees. Websites still require approval, and payment providers may have their own fees.
Does Infolinks bring free visitors to my website?
Displaying publisher ads is a way to monetize existing visitors. It is not a traffic-building service for your website.
Is there a minimum traffic requirement?
Infolinks’ published eligibility guidance says there is no minimum pageview or visitor requirement. However, it reviews websites and can decline applications.
Can I predict my earnings from this review?
No. My original trial produced only a few cents initially, and I have not performed a new earnings test. Your results would depend on your website, audience and advertising setup.
When will I receive a payment?
You must meet the threshold for your payment method and complete your account details. Check the current account terms and payment guidance, and ask support to confirm the timing if anything is unclear.
Have you used Infolinks? Share which formats you tried, whether the earnings were worthwhile and how the ads affected the experience of reading your website.
