[List]Top Tips for Growing Your Business on Social Media
Having and maintaining an online presence is key for any business that wants to succeed now and in the future. Growing your business on social media is a great start for any business. Social media has a power that you can harness to your benefit, and skyrocket your business, but only if you have the right knowledge to do so.
It has been reported that 9 out of 10 internet users now use a variety of social media platforms, which can make it seem like a difficult and intimidating place to navigate. With millions of users, a range of platforms to share from, and all the different types of content and strategies out there, where do you even begin?
One thing that most of these social media platforms like Instagram, SnapChat, and Pinterest have in common, is the importance of having a significant following. This is tantamount to creating an influence when it comes to any business marketing their brand. It is not even unusual when you find out that there are certain companies through which you are able to gain followers and find out how to buy Instagram likes, for example. If you find yourself struggling with social media, or are new to social media and want to grow your business, then here are some top tips to help you accelerate your growth to new limits.
#1 Create a strategy
A clear strategy is vital for any business to be successful on social media. Just creating random content, posting at random times and on different platforms, will no longer cut it. This kind of action on social media will mean your account will not be seen.
A clear strategy will define your goals, combining both your business goals and what you want to gain from social media. This will then help you to define the tactics that you will use to reach your goals, and the kind of tools you will use to monitor important metrics.
Your strategy will also require you to learn all about your target audience by way of a customer persona, monitor what your competitors and others in the industry are doing well and the gaps they are missing, conduct an audit on your current social media accounts if you already have them to see what is working well and create a content calendar to stick to.
#2 Create good content
Content must be of high quality, valuable and informative if you want to perform well on social media. This is especially important now, as there are millions of users and companies who are online, so you need to ensure that you stand out from the crowd and provide your ideal audience a reason to follow and engage with your social media accounts.
Make sure the content you create speaks to your ideal customers and resonates with them. This information is vital and forms part of your strategy at the beginning. Sales content is okay to use on social media, but make sure you predominantly share helpful and informative content that teaches your audience something first, and drip feeds your sales content into it where relevant.
#3 Be consistent
Consistency is key. Consistency in what kind of content you create, how often you post, your branding and messaging, how often you engage, and how often you post stories. When you make your plan in the strategy stages, this needs to be realistic, and one that you can stick to, to ensure consistency.
There is no point in planning to post twice per day if you cannot keep up with it. If that is too much, then you can still grow with fewer posts, for example, three per week, as long as you stay consistent with the days and times every single week.
With consistency, over a long period, you will see significant growth on your social media account.
#4 Keep on top of what is trending
Keeping on top of the current social media trends are, for example, TikTok challenges will help you grow exponentially on social media. This is because, with a trend, you are increasing your chances of going viral and reaching more customers, and even users that you wouldn’t have expected to.
Trends are one of the quickest ways to grow your account, and also show a fun, human side of your business to the users of social media, which can help build trust and connection. Once you have grown your account well, you can even start your own challenges that get users involved.
It is important to remember that trends happen extremely quickly, and should be used in addition to your main social media strategy.
#5 Pick your platforms
If you have enough resources within your business, then you should use all social media networks, as long as you can remain consistent. You have to take your own opinions out of the question, and remember where your target audience hangs out.
There are a variety of social media scheduling tools, which can help you stay consistent across a variety of platforms. If you do not have the budget or time, then pick a few social media platforms that are the most popular with your target audience and start there.
Social media growth is vital for any business that wants to succeed and grow.
