Often, this is much easier to achieve than you might think. Height is usually an excellent way to reach this goal. Again, though, you don’t want to annoy anyone with this. Equally, unusual shapes can give you the edge. Throughout, make sure to consult with your client and check that you won’t step on any toes with your attempts.
Make Your Mark
It’s essential to develop a signature style in any field, and construction is no different. In fact, it’s even more critical here. In most industries, you would place your brand name on anything you create. You don’t have that choice.
Instead, you pass over your hard work and let someone else put their logo on it. You may have your company signs on it during construction, but that’s where this ends. In fact, in those early days, this is what could get you off the ground. People are much more willing to put their trust in companies which come recommended.
Of course, to a certain extent, your work will recommend itself. If you do a fantastic job, people are likely to ask your past customers which company they went with. But, if you don’t leave a lasting impression, your customer may give an answer like ‘I can’t remember the name’. This won’t help you. So, make sure you do such a good job that no ex-client ever forgets who you are. It may also be worth leaving them with a business card or two, just to make sure!
